Where: Western Europe
When: 2013
Why: British F1 Grand Prix
Who: MSA – Motor Sport Association of the UK

Notes: For anyone that has marshaled anywhere in the world, chances are they have worked with or seen British marshals at those events. The Brits are the most established, best trained and disciplined marshal group I have ever come across. So when I had an opportunity to come to their home to see how they do things I jumped on it… and when I arrived I twisted my ankle and was promptly out of commission for the whole Grand Prix. What I later found out is that it was likely a gout attack caused by the nice fish & chips lunch I had had the previous day. One of my first serious attacks at a Motorsport events, and many more to follow later.
